Job Description

Their small but experienced sales team manage the strategic relationships with their customers across the globe, focusing on Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Travel is a significant part of this role, on average travelling 2/3 times a month but this can be flexible.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive overall strategic direction of designated account by creating an account plan for both the short and long-term – report on performance and take corrective actions in accordance with business need;
  • Create a sale budget and business case scenarios and provide recommendations for sound business decisions;
  • Deliver sales according to budgets and provide input for forecasts for existing and new products;
  • Support contracts negotiations together with relevant internal stakeholders and provide good value for money for the company in accordance with defined and agreed price strategies;
  • Successfully position their portfolio of food enzymes and applications, prepare and execute the sales plan;
  • Develop sustainable multi-layer sales relationships within the customer accounts in existing and new markets;
  • Be the first point of contact and go-to person on tactical and strategic levels for their customers and represent the customer voice internally;
  • Nurture qualified leads and mature opportunities while documenting customer meetings and interactions;

The ideal candidate

Their ideal candidate will value the importance of excellence in customer relations. There is an opportunity to make a direct and significant value-add impact to customers face to face.

  • This role would suit someone who already has some demonstrable experience in B2B technical sales in food ingredients.
  • Knowledge of enzyme applications would be ideal, however food science experience is valuable to build up key technical knowledge of enzymes.
  • Key account manager exposure is essential along with project management skills.
  • Experience in distributor management is advantageous.
  • A strategic approach as well as well-honed tactical skills are essential in being able to spot growth opportunities with both new and existing customers.
