A Jubilant Day at our Jubilee Street Party

Before the bank holiday, we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a street party on our very own Jubilee Avenue and took part in the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative.

Around 300-400 people attended the street party throughout the course of the day to enjoy a great array of local artisan market traders, selling a variety of street food and refreshments.

There was also a whole host outdoor entertainment in the form of lawn games, a traditional town crier, live jazz music as well as the biggest music hits throughout the Queen’s reigning era.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was great to see so many people out socialising together, supporting local businesses, and, of course, celebrating the Jubilee.
