Bee House flying high with awards success
Published on 26 July 2023
Awards season has arrived and it’s proving to bee a busy time for Milton Park’s Bee House. In the space of two months, it has received multiple award nominations – one of which has already led to a win!
We take a look at the award successes so far and keep our wings crossed for the upcoming ceremonies…
South East Property Awards
Having received its award shortlist back in May – coinciding with its first year anniversary – Bee House was crowned Workplace Fit-out of the Year at Insider’s South East Property Awards 2023 in July.
The award placed great emphasis on the transformation undergone at Bee House to a vibrant, flexible office and co-working space that prioritises nature and pedestrians.
Commenting on Bee House, Insider said: “A great fitout isn’t just about new furniture and a lick of paint, it’s about creating an amenity-rich, desirable workplace. The Bee House addresses the challenges of the modern way of working and brings an old building back to life at the same time. The judges praised it for creating a community on-site.”
Thames Valley Property Awards
Bee House has been shortlisted in The Morgan Lovell Workplace of the Future category at the Thames Valley Property Awards 2023, hosted by The Business Magazine.
Bee House’s sustainability features and adaption to new ways of working were key elements of the submission, highlighting its construction method, efficient operation, longevity, sustainable travel initiatives and range of hybrid working spaces.
The awards night will take place on 21 September.
EG Awards
Leading commercial real estate publication, Estates Gazette (EG), has also named Bee House as an awards finalist for Best Workspace at its EG Awards 2023.
Bee House’s flexibility was the overarching theme to this submission, demonstrated by its variety of memberships and productive workspaces as well as its amenity provision via The Hive Café and ground-floor conference and event facilities.
We look forward to finding out the result on 17 October.
Best of luck to all the other finalists and once again, congratulations to the whole Bee House project team: ASA Landscape Architects, Ashdown Phillips, B&NES-Building-Control, Barnwood Limited, CBRE, Hadland Manning Bullock, Mainer Associates, QODA Consulting, Savills, SRA Architects LLP, Stantec, Terence O’Rourke and Total Projects.
