Flying visit to Nebula development

David Johnston, MP for Wantage and Didcot, and Lord Vaizey of Didcot visited Milton Park’s Nebula development to check progress on the £40m project.
The 80,000 sq ft Nebula scheme will combine high-tech, flexible R&D spaces with offices, providing for science, tech and advanced engineering businesses.
Commenting on the visit, Philip Campbell, Milton Park’s Commercial Director, said: “With their close connections to Didcot, it was excellent to host Lord Vaizey and David Johnston MP at Milton Park to check on Nebula’s progress.
“Once complete, the project will help companies to grow and innovate, whether in life sciences, technology or engineering and will create dozens of jobs. We’re looking forward to providing more updates on the development’s progress over the coming year.”
The project, will see the construction of seven units in three buildings ranging from 6,000 sq ft up to a single building of 30,000 sq ft (557 – 2,787 sq m). Each building will feature sustainably sourced glue-laminated timber instead of steel – helping to reduce carbon emissions – as well as high ceilings to accommodate large-scale lab and engineering equipment.

Working alongside Milton Park and Barnwood Limited as part of the project team are SRA Architects, ASA Landscape Architects, Ridge & Partners LLP (BREEAM, cost management, M&E, principal design, project management), Stantec (civil and structural engineering), William Downie Associates (utilities), Cundall (carbon consultant), CBRE (letting agent) and ProVision (planning).
