Joining the dots at Signal Yard

Published on 27 September 2024

Ahead of contractor appointment (more to follow…) and start on site, we are delighted to share three more computer generated images (CGIs) of the redevelopment and the branding, which you will soon see on hoardings around the site.

The name Signal Yard is a nod to the past, but also a strong signal to the present and future of Milton Park. From a rural military depot and out of town trading estate, to an innovation community… the Park has certainly undergone a big transformation in the intervening years.

The branding uses a bright colour palette alongside a dynamic pattern of dots and dashes, giving a nod to signals such as Morse code. The khaki green colour in the logo reflects Milton Park’s history as a rural military depot.

Making connections

The redevelopment marks a new page in the Park’s history, creating a place to relax, socialise, eat and drink, allowing occupiers to make new connections.

Clare Fleet, Commercial Surveyor, at Milton Park leading the project commented: “The CGIs really bring the project to life. So far, we’ve had lots of interest already in the scheme, from a variety of different amenity providers and retailers. I’m can’t wait to see the hoardings going up and announcing occupiers, but most of all, I’m looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying an iced coffee with colleagues and friends at Signal Yard.”

The first CGI shows the centre of the Signal Yard, showcasing the branding on the building (please note the retailers names are for illustration purposes only).

The second new CGI below is from the famous rainbow crossing with the branding in situ.

The third new CGI is a view from building 10 by the lagoon showing potential uses and occupiers for the retail space.

The pre-existing tented structure will be taken down, as it has reached the end of its life. This will fill the area with light, allowing the area between the buildings to have planted green spaces and hanging gardens.

What is currently a car park will become an outdoor event space with seating and landscaping.

Connecting retailers with space

Alongside unveiling the branding and further CGIs, we are also launching our property brochure for Signal Yard for potential occupiers. There has been lots of enquiries already from food and beverage retailers and amenity providers and we look forward to announcing who will be occupying Signal Yard in the coming months.

If you know anyone that would be interested in locating to Signal Yard, please do share this article and direct them to the link in the box below, to download the brochure – and get in touch!
